University of Antwerp – imec IDLab Research group
The Internet & Data Lab (IDLab) is an imec research group at the University of Antwerp and Ghent University. IDLab focuses its research on internet technologies and data science. IDLab is a joint research initiative between Ghent University and the University of Antwerp. Bringing together 300 internet experts, we develop technologies outperforming current solutions for communication subsystems, high speed and low power networking, distributed computing and multimedia processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence and web semantics. Within Antwerp, the overall IDLabare machine learning and wireless networking. IDLab has a unique used in numerous national and international collaborations.
IDLab collaborates with many universities and research centres worldwide and jointly develops(R&D centers from international companies, Flanders’ top innovating large companies and SME’s, as well as numerous ambitious startups).
For further development of the IDLab AI for Networks (AI4Net) research cluster, we are looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in Mobile Networks.
The AI4Net research cluster aims to bring state-of-the-art artificial intelligence methods to solve complex network optimization problems, bridging the gap between fundamental research and its application in this domain. The team performs applied and fundamental research in areas such as data-driven modeling, adaptable AI, Reinforcement Learning, Geometric Learning, distributed and resources aware AI, explainable and interpretable AI, and collaborative/cooperative AI to tackle networking problems such as closed-loop management and orchestration, network digital twins, end-to-end life-cycle management of network intelligence in network domains like access, edge, transport, and cloud networks. You will work in close collaboration with industry, leading national and international research projects, driving consortium building, and developing new research proposals.
